Toddler Groups

Our Toddler Groups are a fun, vibrant and safe place for parents and carers to meet together with their preschool children, toddlers and babies during the week. Each group is run by an experienced team of volunteers who provide a warm welcome to all. We offer a wide variety of toys, a craft, singing and story time. We suggest an optional donation of £2 per family and we serve free refreshments and delicious buttered toast!

Connecting to our local church schools.

Our Schools Ministry exists to build meaningful relationships with local primary schools, supporting pupils’ spiritual wellbeing.

Through collective worship, RE support, storytelling, crafts, games, and prayer, we aim to help children engage with the Bible in ways that are real, creative, and accessible.

We currently work with Queen’s Park Primary School, Thatto Heath Primary School, and Eccleston Lane Ends Primary School, and have also welcomed pupils from Nutgrove Primary School and St John Vianney Primary School to visit the St Matthew’s Food Pantry — learning about compassion, community service, and generosity, especially around harvest time.

Our ministry is powered by a passionate team of volunteers, each bringing their own unique gifts — from quiet prayerfulness to boundless enthusiasm. If you’re passionate about encouraging the next generation and feel called to get involved, we’d love to welcome you to the team.

Kids Church

We have an active and fun kids church at St Johns and St Lukes Church. Through games, crafts, tuff tray activities and together time where we share a bible story and chat together, each session seeks to equip your child to grow in their faith whilst having lots of fun.

Creche Facilities

Throughout the team there are facilities for babies to be able to play with the provision of a live feed into the service so parents and carers can still feel a part of the service.
